COLUMBIA, S.C. — Sophomore pitcher Kayla Landwehrmier tossed her second straight complete game, and she needed just 67 pitches to do it Saturday as she led Ole Miss softball to a 2-0, series-clinching win at South Carolina at Carolina Stadium at Beckham Field.
Landwehrmier, the former outfielder turned pitcher, was dominant in the circle for the Rebels (30-14, 6-8 SEC), going the full seven frames with just three hits allowed and no runs. She also didn’t walk a single batter and let her defense do the work with no strikeouts against the Gamecocks (31-12, 4-10).
