I have a soft spot for those who work hard. Early in the morning, two days a week, I get to see and sometimes visit with the crews on the garbage trucks.

They have the hardest and most thankless job in Oxford. There are usually three men to a truck.

Christmas is on a Friday, so the last run these trucks will be making in your neighborhood will be Wednesday the 23rd or Thursday the 24th. So get up out of that soft bed and get out when you first hear that big truck to tell those guys you appreciate what they do and hand each a nice $$ bill.
