The Oxford Middle School Theatre Department will present “The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet” tonight at 7 p.m. and Friday at 5 p.m. in the Kayla Mize Auditorium on the middle school campus. Tickets will be on sale at the door before the performance each night and presold during school hours at the OMS School Store. General admission tickets are $5.
The play, suitable for the whole family, is described as a whimsical reinvention of Shakespeare’s tragic love story, complete with rhymed couplets and creative wordplay, similar to something Dr. Seuss might have come up with if he ever had his way with the script.
