Mississippi is getting back to work and it feels good. Just look at how our unemployment rate keeps dropping. Each week, I seem to hear about new jobs being created around the state. About 40,000 new jobs in this state over the last four years, in fact.

This doesn’t just happen. It’s the product of strong leadership by Gov. Phil Bryant. He’s making Mississippi the place where businesses want to establish themselves, grow and invest. Between the 49 targeted tax cuts he’s signed, the emphasis on workforce training and the great progress we’re making on education, Mississippi’s economic future just keeps getting brighter.

Unemployment is down 3 percent in the last four years and I can’t wait to see how far it sinks with another four years of Gov. Bryant’s leadership.
