The SEC released basketball conference opponents and locations for each league team Wednesday, finalizing Ole Miss’ schedule for the 2018-19 season.
The Rebels will play Auburn, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Georgia and Missouri twice as part of their 18-game conference slate. Sweet 16 participants Kentucky and Texas A&M, Tennessee and LSU will visit The Pavilion while Ole Miss will hit the road to take on NCAA Tournament participants Alabama and Florida.
The Rebels will also play at South Carolina and Vanderbilt. Dates and times for conference games will be released at a later date.
Ole Miss’ SEC schedule was released a day after the announcement of the non-conference slate, which is highlighted by a trip to Butler, a matchup with Baylor in the Emerald Coast Classic, and a home game with Iowa State as part of the SEC-Big 12 Challenge. The Rebels will open the season Nov. 10 against Western Michigan at The Pavilion and will also play host to Nicholls (Nov. 20), San Diego (Nov. 28), Louisiana Monroe (Dec. 1), Chattanooga (Dec. 15) and Florida Gulf Coast (Dec. 29).
First-year coach Kermit Davis will meet his former team when the Rebels head to Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Dec. 21 to take on Middle Tennessee State. Ole Miss will play Southeastern Louisiana in Jackson on Dec. 12 and make the return trip to Illinois State on Dec. 8 to conclude a home-and-home series.
Ole Miss has 13 games scheduled against teams that finished the season in the RPI top 50. The Rebels, who went 12-20 last season, are coming off a last-place finish in the SEC and their first losing season since 2006.
