Ole Miss added more talent to its receiving corps on the recruiting trail Monday with the commitment of Texas product Miles Battle.

Battle, ranked a four-star prospect and the nation’s No. 56 receiver in the 2018 class in 247Sports’ composite rankings, announced his commitment to the Rebels by posting a video to his Twitter account revealing his college choice. The 6-foot-3, 188-pound Battle chose Ole Miss over Oregon and others.

Battle, who played his high school ball at Houston’s Cy Creek, is the third receiver in the class, joining fellow four-star prospects Elijah Moore and Demarcus Gregory, and the Rebels’ 20th commitment or signee. Ole Miss’ class is ranked 28th nationally in 247Sports’ team rankings.

Moore and Gregory joined 13 other recruits in inking with Ole Miss during the early signing period in December. Battle is one of five commits than plan to sign with the Rebels during the traditional signing day, which begins Wednesday.

Should Battle ultimately sign with the Rebels, he’ll join a receiving corps that has every starter returning in 2018 led by All-American A.J. Brown, who led the SEC with a single-season school record 1,252 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns this season. Former four-star prospects DK Metcalf and DaMarkus Lodge, a fellow Texan, will return on the outside.
