It’s a natural question for this time of year: Is Wal-Mart open on Thanksgiving Day 2017?
Since Walmart has grocery shopping, electronics and more including Black Friday deals you may need to get milk or you may want some toys on sale. Either way, inquiring minds want to know: What are WalMart’s Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday open, closed store hours in 2017?
Black Friday shoppers will be happy to know that WalMart opens at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day to deliver all its Black Friday deals in-store. You can also find deals online but to get them in store that begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, 2017.
Let’s say you just need milk and bread and don’t want to hassle with Black Friday sales. Many Walmart stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day 2017 for a portion of the day — 24 hour stores, for instance, rarely close but for Christmas. But hours will be limited so you can’t count on getting much shopping done.
The plan we understand is that all stores will close for a bit on Thursday to get ready for the reopening at 6 p.m. for Black Friday sales.
The only day of the year that WalMart is closed all day is Christmas.
