Dear L-O-U Community,

Girl Scouts began in the American South in 1912 as an idea of Juliette Gordon Low and has spread around the world. Girl Scouts provide amazing leadership development opportunities and experiences for our children and women in the LOU community.  Our girls learn to set goals, make decisions, manage money, learn business ethics, and develop people skills and lifelong friendships.

Please join our family in supporting our local LOU Girl Scout programs which provide amazing leadership and self-worth opportunities for our children. In 1982 our family became active in Girl Scouts and our daughter and granddaughter continue that legacy today. Thanks to everyone who helps support Girl Scouts by buying cookies. It is not cookie time yet, but there is another opportunity to financially support our local Girl Scouts.

On Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. the annual LOU Heart of the South Women of Distinction luncheon will take place in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church. Please buy a ticket ($30) or make a contribution to help raise funds for our local Girl Scouts. Come and enjoy the Special Guest Speaker, Elizabeth Heiskell of the LOU Woodson Ridge Farms and a NBC TODAY Show Food Contributor.
