Paula Tatum Brown

Mrs. Paula Tatum Brown, 63, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, in Oxford, Miss.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at First Baptist Church, Oxford, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert Allen officiating.  Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 from 9 a.m. until service time at the church. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Oxford, Paula was retired from the City of Oxford Electric Department. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Oxford and the Mercy Sunday School Class.  Paula was an excellent cook, loved to play golf, was a member of the Oxford Garden Club, and she loved her family fiercely.

Survivors include two sons, Tatum Brown and his wife Lain and Hugh Brown, both of Oxford, Miss; two grandchildren, Georgia Brown and Tindall Brown; sisters Rose Mary Tatum of Boise, Idaho, Linda Tatum and her husband Tim of Oxford, Miss.; Rhonda Kuboviak and her husband Jim of College Station, Texas; four nephews, and a niece.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Brown, her parents, Horace and Jo Tatum, and her in-laws, R.L. and Sathelle Brown.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Chrissi Lewis of Camellia Hospice and Leigh Beth Hudson, Hugh’s girlfriend, for the excellent care given to Paula.  The family also wishes to thank the “Class of 71 Girls” for the outpouring of love and support.
