Beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and dear friend, Sharon Huff left this earthly world on September 21st to join her blessed savior Jesus Christ and other friends and family who have preceded her to Heaven. Sharon was diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumor in the spring of 2016. Her determination coupled with the extraordinary skill and compassion of her surgeon Dr. Henry Friedman of Duke’s Brain Cancer Institute, and her Monroe medical team including Dr. Scott Barron, Dr. Chuck Morgan and Dr. Walter Sartor gave Sharon and her family and friends a year longer than expected to spend precious time together.

Sharon grew up in New Orleans and attended Ole Miss from 1955 – 1957 where she was nominated Freshman Favorite, joined Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and met and married the love of her life, Dr. Earl Huff. They were happily married for 59 years and had four children, Bill, Cheryl, Brian and Julie.  For the last 41 years, they made their home in Monroe, LA where she was an active member of United Methodist Women, St. Paul United Methodist Church, Junior League and PEO.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Juanita Smith. She is survived by her devoted husband Earl; son Bill Huff and wife, Linn and their children, Elizabeth (husband Jerry) Manning, Hannah and Brandon; daughter Cheryl Montgomery and her children Dalton and Lyndle; son Dr. Brian Huff and his wife Ashley and their children Austin and Jake; daughter Julie Lamker and her husband Darrell and their daughters Lauren and Kara; and her sister Diane.
