Sharon Bozen Pattee, 76, died Sunday, March 19, 2017, in her apartment at The Blake, in Oxford, with family by her side. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on June 10, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Summit, Illinois, with a graveside service to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Larry. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sharon was born on February 20, 1941, in Chicago, to the late Henry John and Rita Marie Lynn Bozen. She married Larry J. Pattee April 24, 1965, and celebrated 50 happy years of marriage before his death last year.

Sharon was a devoted wife and loving mother. She had earned an accounting degree and worked as office managers for several businesses in various states as she moved her family around with her husband’s job. In her later years, she enjoyed preparing taxes for H&R Block. She was an avid reader, loved to socialize with friends, travel to exotic locations, bird watch and do Sudoku puzzles. However, closest to her heart was time spent with her eight grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry J. Pattee, her brother, Dean Bozen, her grandson, Spencer Pate Gladden and her nephew Brian David Bozen. Mrs. Pattee is survived by her son, Corey Stephen Pattee of Atlanta, Georgia, and her two daughters, Nicole Pattee Gladden, of Oxford, and Tracey Pattee Roesner, of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by her two brothers, Gary Bozen of N. Olmstead, Ohio and Henry (Bud) J. Bozen of Dayton, Nevada.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to The Blake and Camellia Hospice for their loving care and compassionate support of Sharon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Oxford Lafayette Public Library Children’s department for the purchase of books to encourage the love of reading in children.
