Oxford man charged with strong arm robbery

The Oxford Police Department arrested a man Monday for allegedly robbing a man at Oxford Wheel Estates.
According to reports, a man told investigators he was working at a house in the complex Sunday when Daniel Ford, 20, approached him, grabbed his sunglasses off his head and then shoved him to the ground as he ran away. The victim called 911 and gave police a description of Ford. Officers spotted Ford who ran when he saw the police. A short foot chase ensued. A patrol officer was able to subdue Ford and take him into custody.
He was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $2,500 bond.
