“Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames” is coming to Calvary Baptist Church in Oxford at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 7 through Aug. 9. Viewed by millions the world over, “Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames” is a high-impact compelling, multi-media production intensified by professional lighting, sound projectors, screens, visual effects, staging and sets. The drama includes a cast of about 40 church volunteers acting out a series of vignettes about people who make choices throughout their lives, die and find themselves facing their eternal destination. Tobby Tubby MB Church will be holding its Pastor and Wife’s 10th Anniversary Program stating at 8 a.m. with morning speaker, Min. Ronnie Driver, from Flint Hill MB Church. At 2 p.m., Pastor Eddie Goliday Sr., from Clear Creek MB Church will be guest speaker. Dinner will be served after the evening program. Everyone welcome. Host is Pastor Lee Robinson.

Union West Baptist Church is holding its Homecoming starting at 10 a.m. with Sunday school. Morning worship will start at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bro. Don Shaffer and music by Bro. Andrew Basinger. Lunch will follow in the fellowship hall. Music will follow lunch provided by the Kerry Nelson Family.
