Ole Miss defensive lineman Charles Wiley has been suspended from all team activities after being arrested on a charge of domestic violence Monday.

Wiley, a freshman, was booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center at 6:15 p.m. by an officer with the Oxford Police Department, according to the jail docket. A female, Legend Fultz, 22, was also booked at the same time on the same charge.

Wiley was released on bail at 11:08 Tuesday morning, according to jail records. He is scheduled to appear in municipal court on Aug 24.

“We are aware of the situation and recognize the proper authorities are responsible for the matter,” Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze said in a statement. “Charles is being withheld from all team activities while the process moves forward. We take incidents like this very seriously and will make decisions once the course of action is complete.”

The 6-foot-2, 253-pound Wiley was a consensus four-star prospect coming out of Stockbridge High (Georgia). He enrolled early and went through spring practice.
