OXFORD — Floyd Brooks Ferguson, 74, died Monday, May 9, 2016, at his home in Oxford. Visitation was held on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Oxford, he had lived in this area all of his life. He was retired from Georgia-Pacific where he had worked 32 years as a panel saw operator. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and spending time with his family.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Frankie Faye Ferguston; brother Dewey Ferguson; sister Bertha Ferguson and daughter Teresa Ferguson.

He is survived by sons Rick Ferguson of Brandon and Brooks Ferguson of Oxford; brothers Harvey H. Ferguson and Gary Ferguson, both of Oxford; sisters Barbara Hazlerig of Tunica and Elizabeth Grubbs of Thaxton; and three grandchildren.
