Pantry board of directors thanks Oxford community
Published 6:00 am Sunday, May 8, 2016
The Pantry Board would like to offer our sincere thanks to all of the community spirited members of the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church who served 443 households for a total of 950 people in the month of April.
We offer our many thanks to the Master Gardeners, Joe Ann Allen and Tyce Buntin, who directed a small group of Ole Miss students in landscaping work around the Pantry. The team trimmed bushes, pulled weeds and laid down pinestraw. Thanks also to our Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). Members held a food drive during the Double Decker weekend and collected more than 1,200 pounds of canned and dry goods and monetary donations.
Many thanks and our sincere appreciation to Walmart, Panera Bakery Café, and Kroger for their food donations. We sincerely appreciate all of our volunteers who help our clients every week with their screening and grocery shopping. Many thanks and appreciation to all of our donors for their community support of the Pantry.
