MEMPHIS, Tennessee — Jine Yang Wang, 75, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis, Tennessee. A visitation will take place Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at Waller Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Chengdu, she was retired from the United States Department of Agriculture ARS National Sedimentation Laboratory where she worked as a physicist. She attended Memory Makers respite day services and was active in the Tai Chi club, Tai Chi Sword club and the line dancing club. She was passionate about gardening and landscaping and was the recipient of the Grand Oaks’ Yard of the Month.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Sam Shu-Yi Wang of Oxford; daughter, Susan Wang of Oxford; son, David Wang of Fremont, California; three brothers, Hou Yang of Taipei, Taiwan, James Yang of South Wales, Australia and Jack Yang of Kaohsiung, Taiwan; and one grandchild.
