Law enforcement in Lafayette County can enjoy some free target practice and some good cheer on Thursday at Hunters’ Hollow.
Business owner Donny Guest decided he wanted to open up the business to active, full-time law enforcement to show some thanks for what the officers do to protect and serve residents.
Hunters Hollow manager Daron Edwards said they are looking forward to appreciation day and expect officers to come on out.
“They can come in and we’re going to let them shoot free and get a box of ammo free,” he said. “We will provide refreshments and give them a free hat. We want to make it special for them.”
Edwards said the range is open for law enforcement from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. that day.
“It’s just a pat on the back to thank them and tell them we appreciate all they do,” he said.
Oxford Police Maj. Jeff McCutchen said his crew plans to be there on and off throughout the day and they are thankful for the opportunity.
“We are thankful for our local businesses and it’s very humbling when we get the opportunity to partner with them,” he said. “The law enforcement appreciation day at Hunters’ Hollow will be a great day to use their facilities and spend time with their staff and customers.”
