Austin Brock Henderson

OXFORD — Austin Brock Henderson, 19, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015, as the result of an automobile accident in Lafayette County. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Curtis Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Tula Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at noon until service time at Waller Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Memphis, Tennessee, he had attended Lafayette High School and was currently enrolled at Northwest Community College pursuing an education in wildlife and fisheries in plans of becoming a game warden. He was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Southaven. He was known for being a comedian among his friends and family and loved playing practical jokes. His desire was to be the next Adam Sandler. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his mother, Molly Brock of Tunica; his father, John R. “Robbie” Henderson Jr. and his wife, Salena Henderson of Oxford; a sister, Ariel Jackson of Oxford; two brothers, Robert “Gage” Henderson of Tunica, and Shannon Jackson of Oxford; grandparents, Ruth Ann Prather of Oxford, Pam and Dennis Brock of Memphis, Tennessee, and John Robert Henderson of Oxford.
