OXFORD – Charles W. Vaughn, 87, died Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at Oxford Health and Rehabilitation Home. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Smith Chapel CME Church with the Rev. Paul Michael James officiating. Burial will be in Smith Chapel cemetery. Visitation will be one prior to service time at the church. Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Lafayette County, he was a retired farmer and member of Smith Chapel CME Church in Abbeville.

Survivors include four daughters, Annie Jean Hodges of Oxford, Joyce Vaughn-Miller of Racine, Wisconsin, Glinder Vaughn-Louis of Olive Branch, and Betty Vaughn-Kimble of Flint, Michigan; son, James W. Thompson of Memphis, Tennessee; 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
