After gaining approval from the Oxford Planning Commission, there will be two more construction projects being built off Sisk Avenue in Oxford Commons.
Oxford Commons developer David Blackburn submitted a preliminary plat for approval Monday for The Summit, Phase 3.
The property is about 20 acres located mostly in the Oxford Commons Planned Unit Development, west of The Preserve, south of The Summit, Phase 2, and north of The Pearl. Blackburn proposed a two-lot subdivision that will connect Lakewood Hill Drive to Summit Drive, providing access to Ed Perry Boulevard.
Initially slated for big-box retail, the project has shifted toward a mixed-use project featuring retail, office and residential space, Blackburn told the Eagle in October.
The commission also approved a new, two-story Citizens Bank that will be located on 1.2 acres at the southwest corner of Sisk Avenue and Commonwealth Boulevard.
Citizens Bank plans to construct a two-story bank with a drive-through and ATM. Stacking for the drive-thru will occur around the 2-foot building, so overflow into the public street should not occur.
The Planning Commission approved both plans unanimously.
