The Oxford Fire Department responded to a house fire on Sunday.
At about 11:52 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at 307 Murray Street in Oxford.
Three residents safely exited the home before OFD arrived on the scene.
When firefighters arrived, smoke was showing on the backside of the house. The fire appeared to be mainly on the rear exterior and had made its way inside the attic of the rear corner of the house.
Fire crews rapidly applied water to the exterior deck and eaves quickly extinguishing the exterior fire as other fire crews made entry through the front door and pulled the ceiling to extinguish the fire in the attic.
A total of 16 firefighters responded.
