Oxford man charged with aggravated assault

On Aug. 10, deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department received a walk-in complaint of an assault that took place on CR 104 earlier in the night.
The victim of the assault received severe injuries that required emergency surgery.
Robert Rucker Jr., 44, of Oxford, was later arrested for aggravated assault and transported to the detention center without incident.
His bond was set at $25,000.
