The Oxford Police Department responded to a parking lot in the 2500 block of West Jackson Ave. for a report of a purse taken from a car on Aug. 5.
The officer arrived and watched a security video from in front of the business and recognized the suspect as Jaden DaMarkeon Miller, 20, of Oxford.
Miller reached through a window that was slightly rolled down and allegedly pulled the purse out.
Miller was located shortly later and arrested. The purse and its contents were recovered and returned to the victim.
Miller was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center and charged with Auto Burglary. A bond was set by the Municipal Court Judge.
