Lots of sun, maybe a little rain this week

According to the National Weather Service, Lafayette County can expect a week of lots of sun and perhaps a bit of rain.
The high temperatures will start to rise after the weekend’s break from the usual hot and humid weather generally felt in August.
Today’s high should hit 89 degrees; however, the humidity will remain relatively low at around 55%.
Tonight’s low is expected to be around 70 degrees.
The high will rise above 90 on Tuesday with a high expected around 92 degrees under sunny skies and a low of 72 degrees.
There is currently a 30% chance of some rain on Wednesday. Otherwise, expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 89 degrees and a low of 72 degrees overnight.
Thursday will be hot with highs around 94 degrees with the low temperature around 74 degrees under mostly clear skies.
A slight chance of rain returns on Friday with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. and a high near 94 degrees. Friday night should be around 72 degrees.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday and Sunday both have a 20% chance of some showers and a possible thunderstorm in the afternoon. The high should be around 93 degrees on both days.
