No rain, lots of sunshine and hot this week

This week in Lafayette County, residents can expect typical weather for August – hot and lots of sunshine.
As of Monday, the National Weather Service is predicting no rain this week; thus far, no excessive heat warnings have been issued; however, that can change from day to day.
Today’s high is expected to be near 94 degrees under sunny skies with a slight breeze.
Temperatures are expected to rise a bit Tuesday and Wednesday with the high around 96 degrees.
Those numbers should drop slightly later in the week with the high expected to be around 93 on Thursday and Friday and 89-90 on Saturday and Sunday.
Temperatures will remain in the mid-to-lower 70s at night throughout the week until they dip into the high 60s over the weekend.
