Oxford man charged with rape, burglary

An Oxford man was charged with rape and burglary, according to the Oxford Police Department.

According to reports, police went to Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi regarding a sexual assault.

Jaydarrious Mitchell, 18, of Oxford, was arrested and charged with rape and burglary.

He was taken before a judge and issued a $260,000 bond.

The U.S. Marshals Service and Desoto County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.
