Local man charged with failing to register as sex offender

A Lafayette County man was arrested recently for failing to register as a sex offender.

On May 30, at 11 a.m. Investigators checked the Sex Offender Registry and discovered Willie Kelsey Woods had not registered since May 15.

A warrant was issued for Woods for sex offender registration failure.

Woods was arrested on May 31 and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $5,000 bond by a Justice Court Judge.
