With this school year coming to a close this month, registration for Oxford students for the 2024-2025 school year is just around the corner.

For returning students, parents can register their children online starting at 8 a.m. on July 8. Parents or guardians of returning students will use the same login credentials from this year. The student registration department offers technology support for families who need access to these services at no cost.

Returning students must be registered online. That is Step 1. Step 2 is for parents dropping off required documents from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., July 8-12, at Oxford Middle School on Bramlett Boulevard.

Required registration documents for returning students are as follows:

• Current Mississippi 121 immunization records are required for all 7th graders and new students. The child’s updated Mississippi 121 Immunization Record should be marked “requirements met for K4-6th grade attendance” or “requirements met for 7th-12th grade attendance.”
• Parents must provide at least one of the following proofs of residency:
  • mortgage document, property deed, property tax document from most recent tax year, filed homestead exemption application form
  • valid Mississippi automobile registration
  • a current lease
  • any other residency documentation that will establish the legal guardian resides within the school district.
• Parents also need to provide at least one of the following:
  • utility bill, a valid Mississippi driver’s license or MS ID card
  • valid Mississippi automobile registration
  • affidavit or a personal visit by a designated school district official

Online registration for new students to the OSD will open at 8 a.m. June 3.

All parents of new students are required to submit proof of residency in person at the student registration office at Oxford Intermediate. The student registration department will verify residency for all new students.

Although families of new students may choose to wait until the document drop-off event July 8-12 to submit their required documents, they are encouraged to bring them in beginning as early as June 3.

Required registration documents for new students include the child’s original birth certificate and the same documents listed above for returning students.
