Rip Woodward, 43, a Human Resources officer, died March 8, 2024 at his home in Clarksdale. Visitation is Monday, March 11, 2024, 10-11 am at ST. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Clarksdale, MS. Funeral services are 11:00 am Monday at ST. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Clarksdale, MS with burial in the Oakridge Cemetery. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.

Rip was a former Clarksdale Police Officer and Hairdresser. He loved to turkey hunt, bass fish, wood craftsman and bonsai trees. He also was gifted to play the guitar and piano by ear. He was a member of ST. Elizabeth Catholic Church.

Survivors include: his mother and step-father Reine Hinman Overton and Chris Overton of Clarksdale, MS. Brother Justin Overton (Jennifer) of Madison, MS and Sister Dawn Williams (James)of Clarksdale, MS. Mil Mil his cat and Max his dog.
Preceded in death by Father Howard Gould Woodward, III.
