Ole Miss held its annual Meet the Rebels event on Saturday, but now it’s the Lafayette High School Commodores’ turn.

LHS will hold its Meet the Commodores event this Thursday evening at 6 p.m. at William Buford Stadium.

In attendance will be the Lafayette High School football team (grades 7 through 12) in addition to the cheer, band, dance, cross country, swim, soccer and basketball teams. Fans will get a chance to meet all the involved parties and coaches.

The school will also be hosting a handful of raffles, in addition to t-shirt sales and booster club memberships. The regular concession stands will also be opened.

Some fall sports have already gotten underway for the Commodores – the volleyball team will have already played three games and will not be in attendance, due to their fourth match on Thursday. The football team will play a jamboree game Friday against South Panola before their season opens on Aug. 23 at Cleveland Central.
