Oxford secured the No. 2 spot for Best Small College Town in USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

The contest, which featured 20 destinations across the country, allowed USA Today readers to vote for their favorite small college town from March 3 to March 31, with winners announced on Wednesday, April 9.

“What an honor for Oxford to be recognized as one of the best small college towns by USA TODAY 10Best,” said Kinney Ferris, executive director of Visit Oxford. “We are always thrilled to receive national recognition of Oxford’s unique charm and welcome the spirit that Ole Miss students bring to enhance our thriving community.”

Nominees for all categories are chosen by a panel of relevant experts, which include a combination of editors from USA TODAY, editors from 10Best.com and more.
