About 3 inches of rain is expected on Friday and Saturday.

The primary threats on Friday are damaging winds, hail and isolated tornados. The same threats remain for Saturday but also include heavy rain.

With much of the storm activity expected at night, residents should make sure they have weather alerts turned up loud enough to wake them from sleep.

The sun will return Sunday with temperatures cooling down a bit from this week’s unseasonably warmer weather. The high on Sunday is expected to be 60 degrees with the low dipping down to about 38 degrees overnight.
