Two Oxford seniors, Elliot Bruce and Hannah Oommen, have been recognized as STAR Students by the Mississippi Economic Council.

The recognition is awarded to seniors with the highest ACT score at each high school in Mississippi, as well as maintaining a minimum overall average of 93 or higher in English, Math, Science, Social Studies and Foreign Languages from 9th through 12th grade.

As part of the STAR Student program, each recipient selects a STAR teacher – an educator who in their opinion has made the greatest contribution to the student’s scholastic achievement.
