A couple was arrested recently by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office for their alleged involvement in molesting a child.

On Feb. 11, a report was filed with the Sheriff’s Office in regard to a past sexual battery and molestation of a child.

After an investigation, Catherine Tyson, 41, and Marcus Tyson, 41, were arrested and both charged with sexual battery of a child under the age of 14.

They were booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center on Saturday and a Justice Court judge set their bonds to $75,000 each.
