Eveyone knows that Oxford-native and NFL star DK Metcalf can play football but now the world also knows he can bake.
Metcalf was one of five star guests on The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Big Game show that premiered on Monday on the The Roku Channel.

DK Metcalf explains what he is baking to the judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, and host Zach Cherry.
The show is a spinoff of The Great British Bake Off.
Metcalf was joined by Amy Smart, who starred in the classic football movie “Varsity Blues,” ESPN personality Katie Nolan, Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Arik Armstead and Hall of Fame tight end and current TV analyst Tony Gonzalez.
The show also features judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, along with hosts Zach Cherry and Casey Wilson.
Without giving away too much information, let’s just say Metcalf proved he knew his way around a kitchen – kind of. But like he plays football, he put his heart and soul into all three of the baking competitions.
Born and raised in Oxford, he played football at Oxford High School and then at the University of Mississippi until 2019 when he entered into the NFL draft and was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round.
While Metcalf doesn’t mention Oxford or Ole Miss in the show, he does design his showstopper cake in memory of when he suffered a cervical neck fracture in 2018.
