Oxford Mayor Tannehill and Lafayette County Board of Supervisor president Brent Larson announced last month that city and County employees will be ringing the Salvation Army Red Kettle bells in a show of “stronger together” on Dec. 20.
The schedules at Kroger and CashSaver are now filled with employees who have signed up to help that day, according to Bobette Wolesensky, manager of the Salvation Army Store in Oxford.
County employees will be covering the bells at CashSaver from 1 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 20 and city employees will be covering the bells at Kroger from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. the same day.
Wolesensky said ringers are still needed through the end of the campaign on Dec. 23. To sign up to ring the bells, visit Stronger Together Oxford online.
