Chasyn Bernard Bowers

A detective with the Oxford Police Department was given a tip on Oct. 25 and subsequently executed several search warrants across various online platforms in relation to a child pornography investigation.

As a result, an arrest warrant was issued for Chasyn Bernard Bowers, 23, of Oxford.

On Wednesday, an officer found Bowers on Anderson Road and took him into custody.

He was charged with child pornography — producing, sending, receiving, distributing or possession of.

He was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked and eventually released on bond.
