With cooler temps expected next week and with the slew of events planned for the next three weeks, it’s a perfect time for fall to arrive.
This weekend the fun begins with a Halloween Ghost Workshop at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Powerhouse, hosted by Art to Go. Register online for the workshop.
More Halloween and fall activities will kick off on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Oxford Conference Center for a Trunk or Treat event.
On Friday and Saturday, get your spooky on at the annual Oxford Police Department Haunted House from 6 to 10 p.m. This year, the Haunted House will be held at OPD’s future home at 10 Industrial Park Road. It costs $5 to enter, cash only and proceeds will benefit Interfaith Compassion Ministries.
Also on Friday, Regents School of Oxford is holding its Fall Fest from 3 to 6 p.m. and another Fall Festival is taking place from 5 to 8 p.m. at Guyton Hall on the University of Mississippi campus.
On Saturday, head over to Chicory Market from 3 to 5 p.m. for a Fall Festival that will include cookie decorating, a shrimp boil, music, free samples, face painting and more.
The second Witches Ride will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21 on the Square. Only adults can ride in the parade but children of all ages are welcome to watch and try to catch some candy.
On Tuesday, Oct. 22, join the fun at the Oxford Activity Center where a Fall Festival will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
There will be many more Halloween and fall events around the LOU Community the week before and during Halloween. Check out the schedule of events below, compiled by the Oxford Parents Facebook page.
