On June 27, deputies from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary complaint on CR 395.

Several hours later, Johnathan Carpenter, 40, of Water Valley was taken into custody.

During the investigation, deputies located property inside the suspect’s vehicle that was taken in the burglary.

He was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was charged with burglary — breaking and entering and booked on a $50,000 bond.
