University of Mississippi Master of Fine Arts students were each provided with funding by Mississippi Creates to produce a short documentary film highlighting musicians and visual artists creating work influenced or inspired by the life, culture, and/or sounds of Mississippi.

Oxford Eagle’s “Good Sense Sunday” columnist Susan Mah was featured in one of the documentaries for her photographic work.

Mississippi Creates is a collaborative project between the MFA in Documentary Expression and Yoknapatawpha Arts Council started in 2021 by John Rash.
