The funeral mass for Reynolds Russell – known to most as Guy Catelli, the man with the musical bicycle – will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 403 University Ave., with Father Mark Shoffner presiding.

A community memorial service and meal to celebrate Guy’s life will follow at 5:30 p.m. at Bryant Hall on the University of Mississippi campus, with Pastor Fish Robinson and Dr. Molly Pasco-Pranger presiding.

All are invited to join in celebrating Guy’s life and the contributions he made to his beloved Oxford. Community members are invited to share stories, memories and photos and to bring food to share as Guy loved nothing more than folks gathering for communal meals.

Catelli passed away last week, with no local family, and only a distant cousin. The community came together to give Catelli a formal sendoff and express appreciation for what he meant in their lives.
