BankFirst Financial Services announces changes

BankFirst Financial Services has announced changes at its Oxford and Water Valley locations, including Jeff Bynum named as first vice president, Tyler Hill named Water Valley Community Bank president, and Cam Tyler named as regional president for the Oxford/Water Valley region.
With almost 25 years of valuable management and lending experience, nine of which were dedicated to the banking and financial industry, Bynum has cultivated his expertise within the Water Valley and Oxford communities.
Bynum is a graduate of Mississippi State University and has also completed The Mississippi School of Banking. Beyond professional accomplishments, he remains engaged in the community.
He previously served as president and board member for the Magnolia Youth League, board member of the Water Valley Chamber of Commerce, president and board member of the Water Valley Main Street Association, board member of the Yalobusha Country Club, board member of The Branch of Hope, and is a member of Sylva Rena Baptist Church. Bynum and his wife, Heather, have two children.
Hill brings more than 24 years of proven leadership and management experience, of which he has spent the previous 13 years in the Water Valley banking and financial industry.
Hill is a graduate of Mississippi State University, where he earned a master’s degree of sports administration and a bachelor’s degree in education. He furthered his education by earning degrees from the Mississippi School of Banking and The Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
Hill is also a certified ICBA (Independent Community Bankers of America) consumer and commercial lending officer. A Water Valley local, Hill remains actively engaged in the community. He currently serves as the president of the Water Valley Rotary Club, president of the Yalobusha Economic Development District, president of the Water Valley Regional Industrial Foundation, and a member of the Yalobusha County Election Resolution Board.
Hill previously served as the Water Valley Area Chamber of Commerce president. He also volunteers time and resources to the Magnolia Youth League, Water Valley High School Junior High football and baseball teams, and the annual Watermelon Carnival.
Hill is a member of First Baptist of Water Valley, where he serves as a Sunday School teacher and previously served as vice chairman and secretary of the deacon body. He and his wife, Jency, have two children.
With a distinguished career spanning over 34 years in the banking and management sector, Tyler brings a wealth of experience, all of which has been cultivated in Oxford and Water Valley.
Tyler is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he earned an undergraduate degree in banking and managerial finance and a master’s degree in business administration. He has also furthered his banking education by completing programs at The Mississippi School of Banking at Ole Miss and The Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
An Oxford native currently residing in Water Valley, Tyler remains actively involved in the community. He is a member and former president of the Water Valley Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Water Valley Main Street Association, a deacon at the First Baptist Church of Water Valley and a high school Sunday school teacher.
Cam and his wife, Julie, are proud parents of three children and doting grandparents to three grandchildren.
