The Mississippi Society of CPAs (MSCPA) held its annual statewide Days of Service 2023 Nov. 6-17.
This was the ninth year that MSCPA implemented a day of service for CPAs and students majoring in accounting at Mississippi colleges. The idea is to unite with fellow CPAs, co-workers and accounting students to make a positive impact on the local community.
For the Northwest Chapter in Oxford of the MS Society of CPAs, food donations were collected for The Pantry. Six CPA firms in Oxford participated this year, including DeVoe Carr, PLLC; Byrne Zizzi CPA, PLLC; GranthamPoole PLLC; Swetland Cook PLLC; Kinney & Associates, PLLC; and Watkins, Ward and Stafford, PLLC.
The local firms organized the drive and sorted the food items when delivered to The Pantry. The project added more than 600 items to the shelves of the community food pantry.
