Oxford’s Dairy Queen will be holding open interviews from June 29 to July 3 as they prepare to open their doors.
Dairy Queen is looking to hire full-time, part-time and seasonal positions in Marketing Community Growth Leader, Shift Manager and Team Member. Those interested are asked to bring a résumé when they come interview. If a person cannot come to the open interviews, they can also apply online.
“We’re in the process to hire a total of 80 team members,” said Jonathan Feeback, the manager of Dairy Queen. “And then we need to hire shift managers as well.”
The restaurant is set to open July 28.
“We could not be happier to be opening in Oxford,” Feeback said. “It’s absolutely a great town. It’s one of the premier locations to be in in the state of Mississippi. It’s a town full of great people and plenty of opportunities. It’s a town of great reputation and a place we’re really happy to be in.”
The new Dairy Queen will be located on West Jackson Avenue, in the building that formerly housed My Guys Biscuits and BBQ. Crews have spent the last few months working to completely remodel the 3,600 square-foot space.
According to Feeback, the reception to having a Dairy Queen in Oxford has been nothing but positive.
“As I’ve been in town the last couple of days, I’ve been going around to see people and let them know that we’re coming, the things we’re looking for and we’re hoping to do,” Feeback said. “It’s been really well-received. There’s a lot of excitement around it. Everybody’s been asking about our first day, and they cannot wait.”
