James Edward “Ed” Williams went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019. The service will be held in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home in Oxford on Saturday, Oct. 12. 2019. at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
He was a loving husband and father, a Memphis fireman for 29 years, a Gideon, a Deacon, and he went on mission trips to Brazil.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruth; his children, Bonnie (David) Holloway, of Hernando, Miss., Sandra Williams, of Oxford, Jimmy (Kay) Williams, of Meridian, Miss.; a sister, Peggy (Ken) Wells, of Avon Park, Fla.; two brothers, Jerry (Barbara) Williams, of Huntsville, Ala., and Pete (Deanna) Williams of Blytheville, Ark.; 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
