Obituary – Mille Provenza Smith

Mille Provenza Smith, 63, died Wednesday, Sept.18, 2019, at her home in Oxford.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Joe Tonos officiating. A private graveside service will follow in Greenville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Waller Funeral Home. A Rosary service will immediately follow visitation in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home.
Formerly, she worked as an educator, teacher and administrator with Memphis City Schools and was the principal of Holy Family School in Holly Springs. Mille was a loving mother, active grandmother and devoted Ole Miss sports fan.
Survivors include three sons, Samuel “Bo” Smith, and his wife, Natalie, of Oxford, Carter Smith, and his wife, Ann Marie, of Brandon, Miss., and Collins Smith, and his wife, Taylor, of Oxford; two sisters, Marcy Turpen, and her husband, Chuck, of Piperton, Tenn., and Margaret Burke, of Memphis, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Cole, Shelton, and Hayes; three nieces, Mille, Katie, and Hart and one nephew, Trey.
