Obituary – Glenn E. Crafton

Glenn E. Crafton, age 67, passed away on July 25, 2019 at Hospice
Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Glenn was the husband of Karen Crafton of
Batesville. Wells Funeral Home has charge of the services.
There will be a memorial gathering for Glenn on Saturday, July 27, 2019
from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home.
Glenn was born on September 23, 1951 to the late Walter Thomas
Crafton and Jeanette Logan Crafton in West Helena, Arkansas. In his
lifetime he received master’s degrees from the University of Southern
Mississippi and the University of Mississippi. He then went on to teach
Biology at the University of Misissippi. After teaching he began working
as a water chemist for Brenntag and G.E.O Specialty Chemicals.
When he was not working, you could find Glenn turkey hunting, fishing,
or playing the guitar. He loved hunting, music, and learning about the
history of the Native Americans. His family considered him an
educator with a sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all.
Those he leaves behind include his loving wife, Karen Skelton Crafton of
Batesville, MS; children, Jesse Levi Crafton of Oxford, MS, Jenna Claire
Crafton of Denver, CO, Ginger Ford (Bobby) of Brandon, MS, Melinda
Colyer and Benjamin Redditt (Melessa) of Richland, MS ; one sister,
Patricia Treloar (Jimmy) of Oxford, MS; two brothers, Tommy and Gary
Crafton both of Water Valley, MS. He enjoyed being Poppa Glenn to
grandchildren and beloved Uncle Glenn to nieces and nephews.
