The Oxford Police Department is searching for an unknown vehicle that was involved in a wreck on the Square on Saturday night.
An unknown vehicle struck another vehicle, causing it to crash into a storefront around 11 p.m. on Saturday, according to witnesses. The vehicle ran into two parking meters before crashing into A Look Ahead sunglass store next to Ya-Ya’s Frozen Yogurt on the north side of the Square.
Police said the unknown vehicle then drove off after striking the second vehicle.
“We are reviewing video footage to try and identify the vehicle and who may have been driving,” OPD capt. Hildon Sessums said in a statement to the EAGLE.
If anyone has any information regarding the accident or the unkown vehicle contact the Oxford Police Department. OPD also noted the vehicle has heavy front end damage.
