Mr. Lawrence “Buddy” Edward Russell, Jr., 84, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018 at the Delta Regional Center in Greenville, Miss. The funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Hope officiating. Burial will follow in Vaughn Cemetery in Abbeville, Miss. The visitation will be held the day of service from noon until service time.

Born to the late Lawrence Edward Russell, Sr. and Minnie Ruth Moore Russell, Mr. Russell was a member of Abbeville Baptist Church. He was a retired plumber who enjoyed deer hunting. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timmy Russell, three sisters and five brothers.

Mr. Russell is survived by his wife, Ann Russell; a daughter, Cathy Lute; two sons, Paul Russell (Reba) and John Russell (Bessie) all of Abbeville; three sisters, Peggy Martin of Horn Lake, Miss., Sue Vaughn of Oxford and Faye Woodard of Sardis, Miss.; ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
